"I was referred to Top Choice Dog Training LLC and it has been a truly wonderful experience. I was a well seasoned trainer myself training 2 rottweilers, the first to Schutzhund II, and the second to Schutzhund III back in the 80s through the 90s. My latest rottweiler is a very sweet boy but, very rambunctious and full of more energy than I could handle at 74 years old with a bad hip. So I contacted, Erika and her protocol was to meet me and my dog to evaluate and assess our training needs. She was very kind and understanding as I tried to keep him under control, as he jumped up to shower her with love and kisses. She proposed a very reasonably priced 5, one hour individual training sessions. I can't believe the difference in my dog. He used to drag me around playfully lunging and jumping up to people trying to shower them with his love. Now on our 3rd and 4th session we walked thru Lowes with me pushing a cart and him walking calmly by my side. No pulling, no lunging, totally focused on me.

When we first adopted our Doberman, Thor, from a rescue league, my fiancé and I knew we needed to turn to someone who could give us guidance on how to best teach our dog to walk on a leash, sit, stay, and positively interact with other dogs. Erika was not only extremely responsive when we initially reached out, but also developed a manageable training plan for our dog based on the goals we were looking to achieve. I also really appreciated the weekly homework assignments Erika wrote for us, which were worded in a way that we could work with our dog in between training sessions.
I can honestly say that our dog loved his sessions with Erika. She truly cares about our dog and uses positive reinforcement to teach each skill.
